Since its humble beginnings in 2011, AL SEERAJ (AS) has been more than an organization—it has been a lifeline. Born as a grassroots volunteer initiative in the heart of a country in turmoil, AS was driven by a single, unyielding conviction: that even in the darkest times, health and dignity must endure.
Founded by Syrian doctors, academics, and activists, Al Seeraj emerged from the urgent need to provide healthcare and humanitarian support during Syria's most challenging period. What began as emergency medical response has evolved into a comprehensive development organization committed to sustainable recovery.
AL SEERAJ is not merely an organization that survived—it is one that persisted with purpose. Every relocation, every shift in strategy, was a testament to its clarity of mission and strength of spirit. In every phase, AS refused to retreat from its values, choosing instead to reshape its methods to meet the moment.
